1976 Golf - Mark Azzam
I bought it stock standard, with 83 000 km on the clock. I did some mechanical and cosmetic work to it and entered and won VW Nationals best in class in 2017. Then decided to restore and rebuild it completely after that. It was a 3-year weekend project which I did on my own with no help - except my wife's support.
The car was stripped to bare metal, and had a fresh start with everything. Every single bolt was replaced with new, new seam sealers etc etc.
Well it was finally finished, then entered at the VW Nationals 2021. It won best in class again, and also the Peoples Choice award for Best VW Watercooled.
I've also entered Shannons Club Show and Shine, and won special guests mighty car mods 1st prize.
